Early Youth Doe Hunt

Mason Barth harvested his first deer during the Wisconsin Youth Hunt

Cody Barth took his first buck during the early part of the bow season

Although this buck wasn't taken in Wisconsin, it is worthy of posting in the highlights. This buck was taken by Ben Spanjers (from Eau Claire) on October 3rd near Hokah, Minnesota. He had been hunting this buck for a few years. The buck green scored 231 5/8, and is possibly the largest buck taken by bow in Minnesota.

This buck was taken by Bob Decker (from Eau Claire) on November 1st. The 14 point buck was shot in Buffalo County, and is awaiting it's final scoring. It is possibly the largest buck harvested by bow in Wisconsin, and may challenge Milo Hanson's world record buck.

Mark A Jack harvested this nice 8 point the last Saturday of the early archery season in PA, 11/11/08. Having a slow morning, it was shot from the ground at 20 yards, while he was still hunting his way back to the car to go to work.

Zach Smith shot this nice large bodied 8 pointer on 11/23/08 in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Pictured with his Uncle (left).

Scott Seymour shot this buck on opening day of rifle season, Northeast of Antigo, Wisconsin

Bill Gardner from Maine harvested this 6 pointer with his 50 caliber muzzle loader on Thanksgiving Day. Maine had experienced a high Winter kill due to snowfall into April, which also lowered the doe permits this year by 30,000, and made for tough hunting this fall
Above is a photo of the Denninger's hunting group buck pole. The season started very slow, but they did manage to have some luck at the end of the week.
The local boys took their annual trip to Iowa in December. Below are some photos of their successful trip.
